Illustrator Update: Testing Figures for Colorblind Compliance Just Got Easier

Illustrator has made it much easier to test for how our figures look to our colorblind colleagues. Now you can simply go to “View” then “Proof Setup” and then either type of colorblindness listed to simulate how your figure looks.

To revert your color experience back, go to “View” and then click the now checked “Proof Colors.” This should remove the simulated color.

Bonus tip: You can also use this feature to screen for how your colors will look printed. Just go to “View” then “Proof Setup” and choose “Working CMYK”.
